1021 KORRES MARAIS
Description
Korres store in Paris, located in the Marais district, introduces a part of greek heritage to the heart of one of the world’s most significant metropolises. TRAIL [practice], aiming to revive memories of traditional pharmacies, combined materials, and structures from various references into a cohesive and unexpected design.
Using the existing wooden columns, a distinct cube was designed to serve as the main exhibition and testing area. Additionally, a more private space was created to function as the lab, secluded by a heavy white curtain. A large wooden counter with neoclassical details and walnut shelves serves as the meeting point for visitors and pharmacists, traversing the exhibition area and connecting it to the sales and service point. The neoclassical details on the wooden furniture are paired with a modern, minimalist metal grid system for organizing and displaying products. The store window, designed as a deconstructed pharmacy shelf, extends the interior display system abstractly.
The materials selected are part of a palette that defines the identity of new Korres stores. The white wooden elements with classical details on the Nissos shelves, the metal display system, and the complementary furniture create a minimalist atmosphere with a classical twist. Decorative objects, such as custom-made handles and classic-style jars, highlight TRAIL [practice]’s attention to detail, ensuring that each element reflects the company’s authenticity and uniqueness.

From the vineyards in the volcanic soil of Santorini to the first fully green and zero-waste extraction unit in Greece. From a natural syrup for sore throat to 500 safety and efficacy tests for every single formula. From a love for Greek tradition to recycling empty packaging and turning it into design objects. From the hands of local farmers to the hands of consumers in 50 countries.
TRAIL [practice] has crafted spaces of various sizes, from experience stores to shop-in-shops and exhibition booths, utilizing common expressive means, to represent KORRES on a global scale.
